
This training session explains the inflammatory response associated with peri-implantitis and its potential relationship with systemic inflammation. It introduces the principal cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in disease development, including activation of innate and adaptive immune cells, cytokine signalling and osteoclast-mediated bone resorption.
The module includes an initial knowledge assessment, educational presentation and final knowledge assessment.
