This training session examines the potential influence of hyperlipidaemia, oxidized low-density lipoproteins and oxidative stress on inflammation, bone metabolism and peri-implant tissue health. It explains how lipid abnormalities and excessive production of reactive oxygen species may affect immune cells, endothelial function and the activity of bone-forming and bone-resorbing cells.
The module includes an initial knowledge assessment, educational presentation and final knowledge assessment.
