A bridge between research, education and clinical practice

The new cooperation connects PERI-EDU research and teaching resources with international experience in periodontology, implantology and modern dental education. The parties intend to promote the translation of scientific findings into undergraduate teaching, continuing professional education and daily clinical decision-making.

The agreement also supports the dissemination and implementation of educational materials available through the PERI-EDU platform among dental students, university teachers, clinicians and other oral-health professionals.

Principal objectives of the cooperation

  • disseminating current knowledge about the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of peri-implantitis;
  • supporting the integration of scientific findings into undergraduate dental education;
  • developing, adapting and using modern educational resources concerning peri-implant diseases;
  • promoting PERI-EDU teaching materials and online educational resources;
  • organising lectures, courses, workshops, seminars and scientific meetings;
  • supporting continuing professional development in implant dentistry and periodontology;
  • exchanging scientific, educational and clinical experience;
  • promoting evidence-based dentistry.

Joint educational and training activities

The cooperation provides opportunities to use PERI-EDU resources in undergraduate dental education and professional training. Future activities may include lectures, seminars, workshops, practical courses and online educational events focusing on peri-implant tissue health and the prevention and management of peri-implantitis.

The parties may also cooperate in developing digital educational tools and adapting teaching materials to the needs of students, academic teachers and practising dentists.

New opportunities for scientific cooperation

The agreement creates a framework for joint research concerning the pathogenesis, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of peri-implant diseases. Potential activities include the development of research projects, analysis of scientific data, evaluation of diagnostic tools and preparation of scientific publications and educational resources.

Peri-Implant Immuno-inflammatory Index

One potential area of cooperation is the further development, assessment and validation of the Peri-Implant Immuno-inflammatory Index, being developed within the PERI-EDU research programme.

Any future research involving patient information, medical data or biological material will require separate arrangements and full compliance with applicable legal, ethical and institutional requirements.

Why this cooperation matters

International partnerships support the long-term sustainability and impact of PERI-EDU. Cooperation with Prof. Preetinder Singh and Periimplantitis Epicenter Concept expands the project’s access to international clinical and academic communities and creates new opportunities for the exchange of knowledge between researchers, educators and practising clinicians.

Through this collaboration, PERI-EDU continues to build a network focused on improving education about peri-implant diseases and translating scientific evidence into safer and more predictable patient care.

INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION FOR EVIDENCE-BASED IMPLANT DENTISTRY

PERI-EDU and its new international partner will connect scientific evidence, modern dental education and clinical experience in periodontology and oral implantology.
