This training session discusses the influence of autoimmune diseases, cancer-related conditions and other systemic risk factors on implant treatment and peri-implant tissue health. It considers the potential effects of immune dysregulation, immunosuppressive therapy, corticosteroids, biological medications, chemotherapy and radiotherapy on healing, infection susceptibility and bone metabolism.
The module includes an initial knowledge assessment, educational presentation and final knowledge assessment.
