This training session introduces the mechanisms of corrosion and tribocorrosion affecting titanium implants and implant-supported restorations. It explains how electrochemical processes, mechanical wear, micromovement and interactions with the oral environment may damage the protective oxide layer on titanium surfaces.

The module includes an initial knowledge assessment, educational presentation and final knowledge assessment.
